Send a specific report

Email legal@ardvarq.com with the page or document URL, the exact material at issue, why you believe it is a problem, your connection to it and a way to reach you. For personal-information concerns, you can instead email privacy@ardvarq.com. For an incorrect statistic or association, use Data corrections.

Please avoid attaching private student records, credentials or unnecessary sensitive information. A public source link is often sufficient. Email links open a draft for you to review and send.

Copyright complaints

If you own a copyright or are authorized to act for its owner, identify the protected work and each allegedly infringing page or document precisely. Include your name, contact information, signature, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law, and a statement that your report is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner. Consider applicable licenses and exceptions, including fair use, before making a claim. Knowing material misrepresentations can carry legal consequences.

We may restrict access while reviewing a sufficiently specific concern and may request additional information. A public university source does not by itself establish permission to republish a protected document. We reserve the ability to correct links, remove hosted copies or otherwise address rights concerns.

This is a general complaint channel, not a registered DMCA agent designation. Formal notices and counter-notices remain subject to applicable law. Information about the statutory process is available from the U.S. Copyright Office.

Privacy, identity and factual allegations

If a record is associated with the wrong person, identifies a student, includes private information or contains a factual allegation you dispute, identify the exact statement and provide relevant context. Tell us if there is an urgent exposure or safety concern. We may temporarily restrict material while investigating, without deciding the ultimate merits of a dispute.

Opinions and policy-compliant criticism are not removed simply because they are unwelcome. We review specific factual corrections against available evidence and apply our Review Guidelines to contributions.

Review, response and reconsideration

We may ask for clarification, contact the contributor, compare supporting sources, restrict or remove material, correct an attribution, or explain why a change is not warranted. Information needed to assess a report may be shared with the contributor or advisors; omit sensitive details that are not necessary. Legal process may require additional disclosure.

Where appropriate and permitted, we will tell an affected contributor about a restriction and allow a response. To ask for reconsideration, reply to the decision email with the relevant URL and any additional evidence. We may restrict repeat infringers and repeated or serious policy violators. Nothing here removes statutory rights, alters legally required response periods or promises a particular outcome.
